Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and mobility support. Support medication administration in accordance with prescribed protocols and agency policies, if assigned. Encourage participation in community outings, recreational activities, hobbies, and other meaningful experiences that promote social, emotional, and physical well-being. Safely assist with transfers and positioning, including the use of adaptive equipment such as Hoyer lifts, when required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment. Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with individuals served, family members, healthcare professionals, and agency staff. Promote independence while respecting each individual's choices, preferences, and personal goals. Qualifications Previous experience providing care or support to individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities in a home or community setting is preferred. Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting, transferring, bending, and standing for extended periods while following proper body mechanics. Current CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or cognitive impairments is preferred. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record if transportation is required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to pass a Level II background screening and meet all applicable employment requirements. Why Join Our Team?
