A Caregiver or Personal Care Aide provides non-medical care for adults, including elderly and disabled people, typically in their own homes. Assists clients with daily tasks including bathing, medication reminders, and light housekeeping; may also provide transportation for appointments and errands. These roles do not always require formal certification.
Provide one-on-one Personal Support Job Summary Lifestyle Care Professionals LLC is currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Caregiver to support our female client who has a Intellectual Disability and Cerebral Palsy. This position is located in the Saint Augustine area.
Key Responsibilities Personal hygiene:
Assistance with bathing/showering, oral care, grooming, hair care, and basic hygiene.
Dressing:
Helping select appropriate clothing and assisting with dressing/undressing. Toileting & incontinence care: Assistance with toileting, brief changes, hygiene, and maintaining dignity and cleanliness. Transfers & mobility: Assisting with bed-to-wheelchair, chair, shower, or toilet transfers; providing mobility and fall-prevention support.
Positioning:
Repositioning as needed for comfort and safety.
Meal assistance:
Preparing meals/snacks, assisting with eating when authorized, and encouraging hydration.
Medication support:
Providing medication reminders or assistance within the caregiver's authorized scope.
Light housekeeping:
Cleaning areas used by the participant, making the bed, changing linens, laundry, dishes, sweeping, and organizing personal areas.
Safety monitoring:
Supervising the individual and providing assistance to reduce risks related to mobility, behavior, or daily activities.
Daily routines:
Helping establish and complete morning, afternoon, and evening routines.
Skill development:
Encouraging the participant to perform tasks as independently as possible rather than completing everything for them.
Documentation:
Recording services provided, the participant's response/progress, significant observations, and the correct service times.
Pay Scheule:
