Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and helper, empowering clients to live comfortably and confidently while ensuring their health and safety are prioritized every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Support clients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety. Maintain detailed care plans and document all care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Support transportation needs for appointments or errands through personal transportation assistance. Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and resident's rights policies. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care in home or community settings. Requirements Proven experience working as a caregiver in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills for client interaction and documentation of care activities. Valid CPR and first aid certifications; willingness to obtain or maintain required certifications if not already held. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times. Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans tailored to each client's needs. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
