In this vital role, you will provide engaging companionship, assist with daily activities, and promote a positive, respectful environment for those in need of social interaction and care. Your efforts will foster independence, enhance quality of life, and create a comforting presence that clients can rely on every day. Responsibilities Offer friendly conversation, emotional support, and engaging activities to reduce loneliness and promote mental well-being. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene. Support medication reminders and monitor health status, including vital signs and patient observation. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Observe and report any changes in client behavior or health status in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations. Use appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe mobility assistance when necessary. Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care needs. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and care plan implementation. Hands-on experience with HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Background in working with individuals with autism or other disabilities demonstrating patience and adaptability. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for resident transfers or mobility assistance. Certification in CPR and First Aid is advantageous; ongoing training in hospice care or long-term care is a plus. Embark on a rewarding career where your compassionate support transforms lives!
