In-Home Caregiver PRN / Client-Match

Overview The Shepherd's Pathway is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to provide non-medical dementia support and respite care for seniors and their families. This position is part of our PRN caregiver pool: you will be contacted for work assignments as new clients are onboarded in your service area. Being in the pool does not guarantee immediate work, but ensures you'll be matched to clients based on your skills, availability, and location. Our caregivers offer calm companionship, gentle structure, and meaningful engagement for individuals living with memory loss, while giving family caregivers the opportunity to rest and recharge. This role focuses on companionship, supervision, and household support rather than hands-on personal care.

Responsibilities may include:

Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support for seniors living with memory loss Engage clients in conversation, memory-friendly activities, and meaningful daily routines Offer gentle reminders for medications, hydration, and meals Assist with light housekeeping including dishes, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Prepare simple meals and encourage healthy habits Provide supervision to promote safety and reduce confusion or wandering Accompany clients on walks, appointments, or outings when assigned Run errands such as grocery shopping or pharmacy pickups Observe and report any changes in mood, behavior, or cognitive functioning Provide supportive presence while family caregivers take needed breaks Maintain client dignity, privacy, and professional boundaries Complete visit notes and follow agency guidelines after each shift Requirements Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening (FDLE and FBI fingerprinting)
