Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aide to join our team from 2PM to 10PM. This vital role involves providing high-quality personal care and support to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, or individuals experiencing memory care challenges such as dementia or Alzheimer's. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a safe, comfortable environment where residents feel valued and supported every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols Provide compassionate care tailored to residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards Use electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities accurately and promptly Support residents' emotional well-being through engaging social activities and effective behavior management techniques Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support, and long-term care practices Ability to assist with ADLs safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and medication administration procedures Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting resident needs Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required; familiarity with EMR systems is advantageous Join us in making a meaningful difference!
