Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Monitor patient observations and vital signs regularly to ensure safety and well-being Administer medications accurately following medical documentation protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, ensuring a safe and comforting environment Document medical records and care activities using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems with precision and attention to detail Support patients during hospice or palliative care situations with compassion and professionalism Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding when necessary, and maintain cleanliness through light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning Qualifications Prior experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, catheter care, hospice care, and dementia/memory care best practices Great English to foster good communication with your client(s) Certification in CPR is required; additional In-Service certifications such as HIPAA training or medical errors, HIV/AIDS/OSHA, Liability Insurance, Alzheimer's, and others Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges using patience and empathy Experience operating EHR/EMR systems and familiarity with medical records management is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, patients, and families Flexibility to work live-in shifts or part-time hours as needed in a fast-paced caregiving setting Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
