Homemaker and companion aide

Companion Homemaker Sitter SUMMARY:

Provides home care non- medical services to seniors requiring extra assistance.

Services may include:

companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry,linen, shopping, clothing shopping, running errands, organizing incoming mail, grooming and dressing assistance, medication reminders, recreational activities, periodic review with family and accommodate client to physician appointments, beauty salons.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving or first aid may be beneficial.

Experience:

Previous experience in caregiving, home health assistance, or related fields is preferred.

Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks. Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in helping others.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment:

Primarily in a client's home or assisted living facility. May involve working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Must be able to pass level 2 background CPR/ First aid Free of communicable diseases HIV Training Dementia Training

CNA/ HHA

experience is a plus Experience is preferred No experience necessary; however, employee must complete and pass B.Jenerous Care LLC Companion Care Skill Competency, as appropriate. This training and competency can include but is not limited to understanding of the needs of the populations served, basic meal preparation, provision of transportation services, housekeeping, home safety, handling emergencies in the home and infection control.

Job Types:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
