You will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve through attentive support, engaging activities, and respectful caregiving. Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts or resident's as needed Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and maintaining accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while ensuring proper food safety and cleanliness standards Support residents with mobility challenges through safe transfer techniques and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe environment Document patient observations, update care records regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care Engage residents in social activities or recreational programs that promote mental stimulation and overall well-being Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance; additional certifications such as hospice or hospice care experience are a plus Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and recognize signs of distress or health deterioration Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate direct support while respecting residents' dignity and independence Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's Familiarity with medication administration protocols and working within care plans designed by healthcare professionals Experience working in assisted living or senior care settings; knowledge of home health practices is highly valued Join us in delivering exceptional caregiving that transforms lives!
