As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be an integral part of a supportive team, delivering personalized care in a home environment that promotes independence and dignity. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, behavior, and overall condition; promptly report changes to healthcare professionals Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences, ensuring safety during cooking and meal service Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks Support residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities through specialized memory care techniques and patient-centered approaches Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed, promoting social engagement and independence Document care activities meticulously in accordance with healthcare standards and care plans; participate in ongoing training on patient observation and emergency procedures such as CPR or first aid Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings; long-term care experience preferred Strong knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Certifications in CPR, first aid, HIPAA compliance, and any relevant caregiving credentials are highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques; familiarity with Hoyer lifts or similar assistive devices is a plus Excellent communication skills for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; compassionate attitude essential Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs is advantageous Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing needs Valid driver's license preferred for transportation duties; background checks required to ensure safety of clients Join us in making a positive difference every day!
