Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Newborn Care Specialist to provide expert care for infants in a private home setting. This role involves nurturing, supporting, and ensuring the safety of newborns through attentive caregiving and specialized skills. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for infant development, a proactive approach to caregiving, and a commitment to creating a warm, secure environment for the newest family members. Duties Provide comprehensive newborn care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and sleep routines tailored to each infant's needs Monitor infant health and development, recognizing early signs of illness or discomfort and communicating with parents or healthcare providers as necessary Prepare and administer bottles or meals suitable for infants' dietary requirements, including breastfeeding support if applicable Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment through residential housekeeping tasks such as laundry, sterilizing bottles, and tidying up Assist with light cooking and meal preparation for the family as needed, ensuring nutritional needs are met Support developmental activities appropriate for infants and toddlers, including tummy time, sensory play, and early learning exercises Provide personal transportation assistance for errands or appointments related to the infant's needs Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; hold current certifications in first aid and CPR Skills Extensive experience working with newborns, infants, and young children in private home childcare or daycare settings Strong knowledge of infant care best practices, including sleep training, feeding routines, and developmental milestones Proven ability to care for children with disabilities or special needs with patience and professionalism Experience nannying multiple children simultaneously in a home environment Skilled in toddler care and preschool-age activities that promote growth and learning Proficiency in meal preparation tailored to infants' dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines Ability to perform residential housekeeping duties related to childcare environments efficiently Personal transportation assistance skills to support family errands or appointments Certification in first aid and CPR with ongoing commitment to safety standards Excellent caregiving skills combined with nurturing communication; reliable, proactive, and attentive to detail This role is paid and offers an exciting chance to be part of a family-focused environment where your expertise makes a lasting impact.
