Positive Care and Mentoring (Kind Heart Personal Care Home), an Alternative Living Services Personal Care Home, in Columbus, GA is seeking dedicated Care Aides / Direct Care Workers to join our frontline team. In this role, you will provide essential personal care, watchful oversight, and protective care to our residents within a supportive, family-like residential environment. As a provider serving Medicaid waiver clients, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, compliant, and dignified care.
Key Responsibilities Daily Living Assistance:
Help residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation.
Meal Preparation:
Assist with cooking, serving nutritious meals, and feeding when necessary.
Medication Reminders:
Provide timely medication reminders or assistance in accordance with state regulations.
Housekeeping & Oversight:
Maintain a clean, safe living environment and provide continuous watchful oversight to ensure resident safety.
Compliance Documentation:
Utilize state-mandated Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) tools to log shifts and accurately document care tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications Background Check:
Must pass a comprehensive, fingerprint-based background check through the Georgia Caregiver Registry.
Certifications:
Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required (or must be obtained immediately upon hire).
Identification:
Must possess a valid State-issued ID or Driver's License and a Social Security Card.
Health Screening:
Proof of a negative TB test or clear chest X-ray.
Skills:
Ability to lift, transfer, and physically assist residents safely. Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor are essential.
Preferred:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is a plus, but not required. Benefits & Shift Availability Competitive hourly pay with weekly direct deposit. Are you comfortable using a smartphone or digital logging tool daily to comply with state-mandated Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements? [Yes / No] 5.

Are you comfortable working in an environment that requires strict, awake direct-care staffing ratios during both day and night shifts?
