  • Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elderly Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to an elderly individual within their home.
This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. As an Elderly Caregiver, you will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for the patient by offering attentive, respectful, and comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of a senior while working in a supportive and dynamic environment. This patient does have onset dementia, history of a stroke, and needs 24-hour care within their home. This position is specifically for the 8am-6pm shift during the week, Mon-Fri
  • part-time (10-30hrs a week).
Responsibilities Assist patient with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods. Monitor and observe patients for changes in health status, vital signs, and overall condition, ensuring timely reporting documented at the beginning and end of each shift. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary requirements

Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards. Maintain cleanliness of residents' living areas, including light cleaning duties to ensure a safe and hygienic environment including light laundry for bedding, towels & clothes. Support residents with personal transportation needs for appointments or community activities, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Must submit an MVR, as Patient prefers to be in their own vehicle for transfer.
Document patient progress, communicate effectively with supervisor, other caregivers involved in night schedule, and update family when needed. Requirements Prior experience working in with elderly patients, hospice experience, independent caregiving in home, and fall risk patients. Knowledge of dementia care, memory care and difficult days, and how to deescalate irritability from patient due to onset dementia and kidney failure. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to patient monitoring or hospice care are a plus. Preferred CNA or RN certification
  • or a demonistrated history with references of providing in home caregiving.
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks such as patient transfers. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration with family members and other caregivers within the patients care. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Experience working with patients who have on set dementia, incompetence, confusion, with many additional health issues, and sometimes outbursts.
