Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part Time Night Shift Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in a Personal Care Home. This energetic role is perfect for those who thrive during evening hours and are committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents, clients, and their families. As a caregiver on the night shift, you will play a vital role in ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being through attentive personal care, medication management, and engaging social interactions. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a nurturing environment where residents feel valued and supported around the clock. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor vital signs regularly and document health status using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents in meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining proper nutrition standards Conduct safety checks throughout the facility or home environment to prevent accidents or injuries during overnight hours Engage residents in social activities or quiet companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas to uphold hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, or family members to ensure comprehensive resident support Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively during transfers Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or personal care homes is preferred but not required. Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring long-term care support is a plus Proven ability to handle emergency situations confidently through first aid training and crisis intervention skills Join us as a Part Time Night Shift Caregiver and make a meaningful difference by providing compassionate, expert care during the overnight hours.
