Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Medtechs/Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in our assisted living. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities, demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This role requires a blend of technical skills and emotional intelligence to ensure the well-being and comfort of those in your care. We also offer an extra dollar per hour for NOC shifts worked here at Maplewood! Duties Assist with ADLs (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting). Assist with mobility and transfers using a gait belt to ensure safety and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medical documentation. Support residents with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, and laundry. Assist in bringing residents to meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Maintain a clean and safe environment while adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding resident confidentiality. Document changes in resident behavior or condition promptly. Assist with serving meals prepared by our cook. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or Medtech roles, such as hospice care or working in assisted living/nursing home settings, is preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions is a plus. Ability to perform catheter care and understand medication administration protocols. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Must be compassionate, resident-centered, and possess a strong sense of empathy toward residents' needs. A valid driver's license or ID and the ability to pass a background check are required prior to hire. An Idaho Food Handler's Card and CPR/First Aid certification are required within the first 30 days of employment.
