Job Description
At Palouse Dementia Care, we have found that although our clients lose their rational functions, they are able to live intuitively—enjoying emotions, beauty, and everything their senses bring to them—in the present. Our goal is to teach our care team how to give a sense of value and control to people living with Dementia and Alzheimer's. We strive to keep our clients in their homes as long as possible. We help with cooking, cleaning and personal hygiene tasks. We also take clients on outings to help bring joy and stimulation into their lives. Outings may include walking in the arboretum, getting ice cream, visiting the bears at WSU, etc. As our client's progress we help with personal care and partnet with hospice to keep them in their own homes as long as possible.
