Job Description

At Palouse Dementia Care, we have found that although our clients lose their rational functions, they are able to live intuitively—enjoying emotions, beauty, and everything their senses bring to them—in the present. Our goal is to teach our care team how to give a sense of value and control to people living with Dementia and Alzheimer's. We strive to keep our clients in their homes as long as possible. We help with cooking, cleaning and personal hygiene tasks. We also take clients on outings to help bring joy and stimulation into their lives. Outings may include walking in the arboretum, getting ice cream, visiting the bears at WSU, etc. As our client's progress we help with cooking, cleaning, personal care tasks and partner with hospice to keep them in their own homes as long as possible. Personality Traits that make DAWN certified caregiver's successful: High regard for ALL people's health and well-being High emotional intelligence Humility Respect for elders This Job offers: Competitive pay Flexible hours and work locations DAWN caregiver training and certification Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Provide companionship and emotional support to foster social engagement and reduce feelings of isolation Qualifications Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Join our team to provide heartfelt care that truly makes a difference! Pay:
$19.00 - $28.07 per hour
