This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or autism support. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life through personalized care and attentive support. This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute positively while gaining valuable experience in the caregiving field. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect client confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition. Support clients with medication administration following prescribed care plans and ensure adherence to safety protocols like first aid and CPR when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in social activities or conversations to foster mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Assist with transportation needs including personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe patient transfers using appropriate techniques. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia, or in senior care settings like assisted living or nursing homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and patient monitoring procedures. Experience with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or home health services is advantageous. Familiarity with care plans development and implementation to meet individual needs effectively. Hands-on experience with manual handling equipment including Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information at all times. Strong communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and documentation of care activities in compliance with healthcare standards.
