Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Caregiver to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in various care settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. As a Caregiver, you will be a vital part of creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for clients while promoting their independence and well-being. This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute their caregiving skills in a dynamic, supportive setting. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, administering medications, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Support residents with mobility using proper patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safety during movement. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care. Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment that promotes mental well-being. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning client living areas, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment in accordance with health standards. Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings using safe driving practices and client transportation assistance skills. Follow all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy standards. Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, autism support, or neurodevelopmental disorders through personalized approaches. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications accurately following care plans. Experience providing patient personal care assistance including ADLs and manual handling techniques such as heavy lifting or patient transfer methods. Knowledge of dementia care, memory care strategies, hospice care principles, and social work practices is advantageous. Familiarity with medical documentation procedures related to patient observation and HIPAA compliance. Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities supports your success in this role. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like Hoyer lift training or medication administration are a plus.
