Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This role is vital in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing the quality of life for those in need of personal care. As a caregiver, you will play a key part in delivering personalized care plans, assisting with daily activities, and fostering a warm, respectful environment. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Support patients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease by implementing specialized memory care strategies and ensuring their safety. Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning duties, including laundry, tidying personal areas, and disinfecting common areas to promote a healthy environment. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or social activities while ensuring client safety during transit. Follow all HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality and uphold residents' rights at all times. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and implementing care plans. Hands-on experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or neurodevelopmental disorders supports your ability to deliver specialized support. Knowledge of patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and proper manual handling techniques ensures safe mobility assistance. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and resident rights guarantees respectful and confidential care delivery. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities enhances your ability to provide personalized support tailored to unique needs. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required to respond effectively during emergencies; additional certifications in heavy lifting or patient transfer methods are advantageous.
