You will be a trusted companion and caregiver, delivering high-quality assistance tailored to each person's unique needs. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote independence and dignity Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly Support clients with mobility and transfers using manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, supporting overall health and wellness Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or social activities to foster community engagement Maintain accurate care plans and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards Engage in patient observation for signs of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other neurodevelopmental conditions to ensure appropriate interventions Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings Strong knowledge of patient care techniques including patient monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR, and vital signs assessment Familiarity with dementia care, memory care strategies, hospice care principles, and Alzheimer's care best practices Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling methods and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts effectively Excellent client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate personal support and foster trustful relationships Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders to implement tailored care strategies Knowledge of home & community care practices along with HIPAA compliance for protecting client confidentiality This role offers an engaging opportunity to provide essential caregiving services that enhance quality of life.
