Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to assist others, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through direct support and care. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking as needed. Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and safety of residents. Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Support residents in engaging in recreational activities and social interactions. Lift and transfer residents safely using appropriate techniques and equipment. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents. Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of CPR and first aid is preferred. Familiarity with direct support services in a group home setting is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. A caring attitude, patience, and empathy towards residents are crucial for success in this role.
