This vital role involves supporting clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being, ensuring they live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status to inform care plans Administer medications following prescribed schedules and HIPAA privacy standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or gait belts to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and medication administration Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for clients Experience Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly desirable Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease Training or certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are preferred Familiarity with medication administration procedures and care planning processes Hands-on experience using mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts in long-term care environments Proven ability to work compassionately with seniors or individuals requiring memory care or hospice support Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, patient transfers, and infection control Background in social work or related fields that enhance holistic caregiving approaches is advantageous Join us as a Private Caregiver to deliver heartfelt support that transforms lives.
