Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance quality of life through personalized care and attentive support. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, documenting findings accurately in care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene standards are maintained Administer medications safely following prescribed instructions and maintain detailed medication administration records Support patients with cognitive impairments by implementing dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies, including memory care techniques and engaging activities Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties, including laundry, sanitation of common areas, and personal spaces Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe patient transfers using proper equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Communicate effectively with clients and their families to update on care progress and address concerns promptly Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification requirements, and emergency response plans Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs accurately Hands-on experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory support, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support Familiarity with care plans development and medication administration procedures Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex medical needs in long-term or community-based settings Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary and utilize patient transfer equipment effectively Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or relevant nursing assistant credentials are advantageous but not mandatory; ongoing training opportunities are available for growth Join us as a Part-time Caregiver to bring compassion, professionalism, and enthusiasm into every interaction.
