Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to provide person-centered support to individuals in their homes and community settings. In this role, you will help promote independence, dignity, comfort, and quality of life by assisting with daily living activities and offering respectful companionship. Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support as directed in the care plan. Provide support with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and light household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement while respecting each individual's preferences and routine. Assist with medication reminders, appointment support, and other non-clinical care tasks as assigned. Support community participation, errands, and transportation assistance when applicable and authorized. Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, or environment to the appropriate supervisor or care team member. Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans, safety guidelines, and confidentiality requirements. Promote a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment at all times. Qualifications Compassionate, reliable, and able to provide respectful personal care to individuals with varying needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow directions, care plans, and safety procedures. Physical ability to perform tasks that may include standing, lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility, as appropriate. Basic reading, writing, and documentation skills. Prior experience in home care, assisted living, caregiving, or a related setting is preferred. Ability to maintain privacy and handle sensitive information with professionalism. Preferred Attributes Patient, empathetic, and attentive to individual needs.
