This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. As a caregiver, you will deliver tailored care plans, assist with essential tasks, and promote independence while ensuring safety and comfort for your clients. Responsibilities Provide direct support to clients by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Monitor patients' health status by checking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting any concerns promptly. Administer medications following prescribed care plans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal planning to promote overall health. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury during heavy lifting or resident transfers. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care techniques and engaging them in meaningful activities. Document all care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and state regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, or family members to update care plans and ensure comprehensive support tailored to each individual's needs. Assist clients in community outings or appointments, ensuring safety during transportation and social engagement. Qualifications Proven experience working as a caregiver in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or hospice care environments. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care. Valid certification in CPR and First Aid; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Reliable transportation and the ability to manage your own client schedule efficiently.
