Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Caregiver with over three years of experience to provide exceptional support and personalized care to individuals in various care settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for enhancing quality of life through attentive caregiving. All positions are paid, reflecting our commitment to valuing your expertise and dedication. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor patient vital signs and observe for changes in health status, documenting findings accurately while respecting resident's rights and privacy under HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure proper medication documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations Support residents with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia through specialized memory care techniques and personalized engagement strategies Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks, assisting with laundry, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings using safe patient transfer methods and personal transportation support Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support, neurodevelopmental disorders, and intellectual disabilities support Ability to perform CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures confidently Familiarity with care plans, medication administration procedures, vital signs monitoring, and patient monitoring techniques Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other equipment, and provide manual handling safely Join us if you're passionate about delivering high-quality care that respects individual dignity while fostering independence.
