Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate assistance with daily activities, ensure safety and well-being, and promote independence within the comfort of clients' homes. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will help create a nurturing environment where clients feel valued, supported, and empowered to live their best lives. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to build trusting relationships while delivering essential care services tailored to each individual's needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper food safety practices. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and safety. Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Follow detailed care plans created by healthcare teams, ensuring consistent and personalized care delivery in accordance with state and federal regulations. Skills Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments with a focus on senior care or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, and medication administration are highly preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when required; physical stamina is essential. Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and team members. Experience in working within care plans that include patient monitoring, vital signs tracking, and social work principles. Compassionate attitude combined with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple clients' needs effectively.
