This vital role involves assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort, and fostering a warm, respectful environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Provide specialized dementia and memory care, employing behavior management techniques to promote safety and well-being Support residents during meals by preparing nutritious food, assisting with feeding if needed, and ensuring proper dietary adherence Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional health Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and common spaces Support residents' emotional needs through compassionate communication, active listening, and personalized support plans Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury for residents with limited mobility Drive residents when required for appointments or outings, adhering to safety protocols Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and memory care techniques is essential Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation of resident information and care activities Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional caregiving certifications are a plus Long-term care experience demonstrating reliability and compassion in caring for vulnerable populations Proven ability to handle medication administration accurately and responsibly Experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices is desirable Join our team to provide heartfelt support that improves lives every day!
