Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Emporia Caregiver with a consistent evening schedule, where your compassionate support and attentive care make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during evening hours. Your energy and dedication will foster a warm, engaging atmosphere that promotes independence and dignity . Azara Home Health is seeking a reliable, consistent, and compassionate caregiver to support a client in Emporia. This position requires someone who is committed to a set, non‑negotiable schedule and who takes pride in providing high‑quality care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with care plans and dietary restrictions Administer medications accurately following HIPAA guidelines and care instructions Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and laundry Support residents during activities and social engagement to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to ensure proper patient handling Requirements Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous Must be consistent and reliable with excellent attendance Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and patient care documentation Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents' families Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Shows up on time, every time Understands the importance of routine and stability This role is paid and offers a stable schedule that allows you to build meaningful relationships while making a positive impact every evening.
