You will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance quality of life through dedicated caregiving. Duties Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to include: suprapubic catheter care colostomy care Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Support clients with memory care needs, ensuring a safe environment Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to facilitate safe transfers and mobility Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare regulations Perform light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic living space to promote overall well-beingSkills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid; familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Skilled in medication administration and developing or following personalized care plans Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; strong physical stamina required Compassionate communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Able to perform physical activities necessary to provide care for an adult male quadraplegic Able to drive patient to doctor appointments as necessary in a provided wheelchair accessible van This is a home-based care opportunity that empowers this individual to live safely and comfortably.
