In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with diverse needs, fostering their independence and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with clients in their home and out in the community, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they require.
Hours available:
3:30pm-8am Monday-Friday's available, 9a-9am Saturday and Sundays available, 6am-6pm Monday-Friday, 7a-7p Saturday and Sundays available. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, maintaining cleanliness of their home and medication management. Provide support to individuals with autism, dementia, or other developmental disabilities in a respectful and understanding manner. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events to promote socialization and well-being. Observe and document client behaviors, progress, and any changes in condition to ensure appropriate care is provided. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for clients. Requirements Previous experience in direct support roles such as senior care, long-term care, or group home settings is preferred but not required. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions is a plus. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, dementia care practices, and memory care strategies is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent observational skills to monitor client behavior and report any concerns effectively. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in need.
