Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Attendant/Caretaker for a 35 y.o. male with Autism. While he has a full vocabulary, he does not like to converse, but can communicate well when he chooses to. He is fairly self sufficient, but requires help with some things.

Availability:

3-6 hr shifts; M - F, (3-5 days per week), Day or Evening Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming. Applicant must have reliable transportation w/air conditioning.

Outdoor activities:

park to feed ducks, swing. Go to library, grocery shopping, bowling. inform client when it's time to brush teeth, shower, maintain hygene.

household tasks:

change sheets, wash, dry, hang and fold clothes. work to stimulate, exercise (light), mental exercise.

Hobbies and likes:

movies, video games, playing with dog, bowling, shopping Experience Prior experience with adults with special needs helpful. Demonstrated ability to provide patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, on the Autism spectrum .

Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
