This role is essential in supporting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving, with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, and other special needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient care and support in various settings including group homes, assisted living facilities, and home health environments. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions while maintaining accurate care plans. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment for clients. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the quality of life for clients. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home care, hospice care, or home & community care is preferred. Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring to detect any changes in health status. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Knowledge of meal preparation and cooking for dietary needs is beneficial.
