Our Resident Care Associates assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs which enables the resident to maintain good personal hygiene, to carry out activities of daily living, to maintain good health and to participate in the activities of the community while always emphasizing the residents independence, safety, dignity, privacy, and respect. TYPICAL PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL DEMANDS

Must be able to operate motion equipment such as wheelchairs, hoyer lift. Must be able to tolerate working with skin irritants and chemicals. Must be able to work closely with residents and their families during difficult times, including illness; aging in place; and comfort care at the end stage of life. Must be able to offer resident and family support in the event of death.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to read, write, and speak English, and possess good communication skills. Must be willing to obtain a high school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One- year nurse's aide experience preferred. Willingness to take additional geriatric related training.
