Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe living space. You will be an essential part of a team dedicated to fostering independence and dignity for those you serve. What you'll do Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the home, ensuring a safe environment for all residents. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing changes in their physical or emotional condition. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to promote social interaction. Administer medications as prescribed and assist in managing care plans effectively. Support individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments through personalized care approaches. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Basic qualifications Experience in caregiving or home health environments is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is essential for ensuring resident safety. Preferred qualifications Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or memory care practices. Previous experience working in group homes or assisted living facilities is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting residents with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts. Understanding of patient monitoring techniques and patient observation skills.
