The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care, long-term care, and working with individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort, and promoting their overall well-being. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects. Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Support clients with meal preparation and nutrition management. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to family members or healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care strategies. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred. Knowledge of memory care techniques and long-term care practices is essential. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to perform light housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a clean environment. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others are crucial for success in this role.
