The ideal candidate will provide weekday evening/or weekend essential support to residents in a cozy 5-bedroom assisted living residential home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves assisting residents with daily activities, promoting independence, and fostering a positive environment for individuals with varying needs, including those with memory care requirements and disabilities. Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support breakfast preparation and ensure that residents receive a proper diet and nutrition. Provide direct support to individuals. Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans. Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident while promoting their independence. Qualifications Completion of an approved caregiver training program is preferred. Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in residential care, home care, or a healthcare setting is desirable. Certified Medication Technician (CMT) credential preferred for medication administration duties. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Fire and life safety, including the use of fire extinguishers Infection control, including standard precautions, contact precautions, and hand hygiene Basic food safety Emergency disaster plans The health and psychosocial needs of the population being served, as appropriate to their job responsibilities The resident assessment process The use of service plans Resident's rights Physical showing you are free from any impairment that would hinder the performance of assigned responsibilities; Must pass criminal background checks, including TB test.
