Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Staff to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping the consumer to engage in activities outlined in his Annual Person Centered Plan. Applicants MUST be able to pass a background check. CPR/First Aid Certification is required, but training can be reimbursed if needed by the employer if staff is selected for employment. The ideal person is someone who likes all types of animals, is active, can switch gears from helping SDS participant (keep a consistent schedule) in completing household tasks/life skill at participants' homes to going out into the community.
Minimum hours desired:
20 hrs. Duties Maintain an organized environment and plan. Support client with transportation needs within the community and at home. Engage with consumer to promote social interaction and emotional well-being. Observe and report changes in health. Implement care plans as directed. Provide assistance in administering basic medical care, including CPR or First Aid if necessary. Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care quality. Skills Proficiency in technology not limited to phone apps. CPR techniques and emergency response. Experience in home health, development disabilities or assisted living settings is highly desirable. Ability to implement the current care plan and collaborate with the team to tailored to individual clients needs. Plan includes community development and life skills development not limited to hygiene, laundry, cooking/baking, cleaning, keeping routine/personal schedule, Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities desired. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and other team members. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Compassionate approach towards caregiving, demonstrating empathy and respect for all individuals. This role is essential for fostering a supportive atmosphere that prioritizes the mental health and well-being of the individual while out at home as well as in the community.
Pay:
$21.49 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
