Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Administer medications and follow care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare standards Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while maintaining a clean and safe environment Utilize manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Engage in patient observation to identify any signs of distress or deterioration, especially in dementia or Alzheimer's care cases Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient progress, and incident reports to ensure compliance with healthcare protocols Assist with household chores like cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic living space for residents Support individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders through tailored activities and social engagement Follow all safety procedures including CPR, first aid, and emergency response protocols to ensure resident safety at all times Experience Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home health environments is highly preferred Hands-on experience with patient observation, medication administration, and care planning is essential Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice support enhances your ability to provide specialized assistance Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and privacy of resident information Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders demonstrates your versatility as a caregiver Strong skills in manual handling techniques such as the use of Hoyer lifts and assisting with ADLs are necessary Proven ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond appropriately in emergency situations such as CPR or first aid certification is required Home & community care experience that includes meal preparation, light housekeeping, and social support is advantageous Join us to become a compassionate advocate for those who need it most!
