Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required Monitor patients' vital signs, observe health status, and report any changes to healthcare professionals promptly Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment in accordance with health standards Support clients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through tailored care strategies Requirements Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments; group home experience is highly valued Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs requiring medical attention Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional training in hospice or memory care is a plus Familiarity with medical procedures including medication administration and vital signs monitoring Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's (personal assistance devices) Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license preferred for travel between client locations; flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends Join us in delivering compassionate home care that empowers individuals to live comfortably and independently.
