Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Care Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized support and compassionate care. We are looking for a staff that can work from 8am - 5pm. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a caring community while developing your skills in patient care and support. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect at all times Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Facilitate engaging activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction, fostering a positive environment Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods, including Hoyer lifts and other equipment, to ensure safety during mobility assistance Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care planning processes Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks confidently Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care activities Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Experience working in group home settings or assisted living environments is a plus; home health or hospice care experience is also beneficial Join us in providing compassionate care that enhances quality of life!
