You'll be working indoors (and outdoors in the fresh air) at a heated and air-conditioned Pet Resort...a Beautiful, state-of-the-art small-breed dog facility in a park-like setting in the wooded countryside , with safe, fully security-fenced acreage to keep dogs in and undesirable s out.

• We are looking for a puppy-dog caregiver and midwife...that special adult person that is nurturing, and loves caring for dogs and puppies!

• no kennel experience necessary... we will train to our specifications.
• this position has stability… We have been in business at this location for over 40 years.
• You must be dedicated and have co-operative flexibility to help care for a small to medium-sized facility of small, hypoallergenic loving dogs and puppies.
• Being physically fit is important, as there is a lot of bending, squatting and kneeling to care for puppies and dogs...this is not leisurely work!... It involves a lot of cleaning, picking up and snuggling, and exercising of dogs and puppies.
• You would not be allowed to have another canine affiliated job, or volunteer with shelters or other dog facilities at the same time that you work here, because of possible cross-contamination with our baby puppies… example: humane society/rescue, Veterinarian clinic, dog breeder, pet sitting business….
• note: this requirement does not apply to your personal pets.
• Starting pay after the initial training/trial period of 2 wks will be determined and set at $14-16/hr (depending on experience, and even though not required, it would be handy)….and wage may increase considerably according to productivity. it's a small business, so raises are also given according to exemplary work.
• note: training pay is at minimum wage during the initial training/trial period of 2 weeks. (you'll be a paid intern)

10 minutes south of Cascade, 15 minutes north of Middleville , 8 minutes west of Alto, and 3 minutes east of Alaska, Michigan

• it is mandatory to live within 20- 25 minutes drive for this particular shift, and to be available in case of emergency.
