Position Summary:
The Member Experience Leader is responsible for ensuring every community member, family member, visitor and team contributor experiences a Full of Life™ day, that aligns directly with the Vista philosophy and LUXE brand extension standards. The MEL will be present on the floor 75%
- 100% of the day, working alongside the PWPs/NWPs and MTPs/NMPs, assisting with care, supporting mealtimes, reinforcing training, helping with shift changes, mentoring contributors in real time, catching people caring, identifying service gaps, and escalating concerns quickly to the HWO.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily floor presence and real-time coaching. Completion of member rounding and care observation. Mealtime support and dining-room execution. ADL, shower, toileting, transfer, and comfort-check follow-through. Assist with Medication Cart Audits Medical inventory monitoring Immediate escalation of changes in conditions. Contributor performance feedback to the HWO. Daily discussions, on scheduled days, with HWO to ensure daily expectations are completed. Training reinforcement for PWPs/NWPs and MTPs/NMPs. Ensure seamless shift transitions. Maintain high care standards by proactively resolving any shift change confusion Ensure service plans are being properly executed Address and family concerns with the Health & Wellness Officer Support for staffing coverage as needed.
Qualifications:
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in healthcare-related field preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years in a caregiver, or medication technician role in memory care, assisted living, or healthcare setting. Experience working with seniors with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is highly preferred.
Licensure/Certification :
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire). Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a plus, but not required Specialized training in dementia care and medication administration.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contributors, community members, and family members. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies. Compassionate and patient, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of those with those we serve. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of state regulations governing assisted living and memory care facilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move community members as necessary (lifting may involve assisting with transfers or repositioning). Standing and walking for extended periods and assisting with community member mobility needs. Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and provide hands-on care if necessary.
Work Schedule :
This position requires the ability to work a minimum of three (3) 12-hour shifts and one (1) 4-hour shift per week, including weekends and holiday rotations, with hours typically from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
