You'll provide personal care and companionship to a friend or family in need of home help care services—and get PAID for it. The friend or family member MUST be active on Michigan Medicaid Home Help or waiver program already have a active Michigan Medicaid case to qualify for home help services. You the caregiver must know of the individual that needs support to qualify. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for those under your care. Duties Provide Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) :personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs. Help clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs as needed. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Assist with medication reminders and management. Support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily tasks and social interactions. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Not married to or parent of the recipient if under 18 (spouses and parents of minor recipients are ineligible). Must pass a criminal background check and complete state-required training. Ability to provide care in client's home and work with MDHHS/agency supervision.
