Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Caregiver to join our team at Bertha Neal Elementary. This full-time position involves providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young children enrolled in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP). The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have the ability to engage and inspire young learners. Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support to parents and guardians. Collaborate with other staff members to develop and execute lesson plans that align with GSRP standards and curriculum objectives. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem through supportive interactions. Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials and resources are readily available and in good condition. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's development, behavior, and any concerns that may arise. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring the well-being of all children in the program. Assist with daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Background check clearance as required by state regulations. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the children and the program.
