Resident Caregiver Specialist Hourly Position Immediate Supervisor:
Lead Resident Care Giver Job Summary:
Provide safety and security to residents and visitors, assist resident with performing activities of daily living, safely administer medication, etc.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or equivalent. Good moral and professional character. Must be suitable to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of each individual resident. Exceptional positive attitude. Must be capable of handling emergency situations. Communicate by following and initiating written and verbal instructions. CNA is recommended but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not at all inclusive of the duties, responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities, and working conditions associated with this position. Abiding by and adhering to policy and procedures in Pathway Home handbook. Responsible for handling and serving residents in a manner which is conducive to their safety and comfort. Knowledge of, ability to understand and carry out procedures and techniques involved in personal care, passing of medication, simple treatments, etc. Preparing and handling food in accordance with sanitary regulations in addition to meeting scheduled meal times, abiding by individual portions sizes, avoiding food waste and caring for cooking equipment. Good understanding of techniques to avoid infection of residents and self or contamination of equipment or supplies. Maintain resident confidentiality. Demonstrates a positive image of Pathway Home Assisted Living, LLC by applying affective human relation skills with residents, visitors, and other employees. Applies basic verbal and non-verbal communication skills effectively; therefore, facilitating good interpersonal relationships. Participates in educational programs to increase professional competence.
Pre-employment Requirements and Conditions:
The actual hiring of an employee is based on the qualifications of the applicant, as determined in the sole discretion of the employer. The following qualifications and requirements are not all inclusive. Any employee hired must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time, flexibility to reach using both arms/hands, bend or twist as job requires. This job has been identified as medium duty work. Physical strength required to lift at least 70 pounds on a repetitive basis. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
