Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Specialist (Direct Care Worker) to join our team and provide exceptional support to residents in a variety of care settings. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized assistance to individuals with diverse needs, promoting their independence, safety, and well-being. Your energetic approach and attentive care will foster a warm, respectful environment where residents feel valued and empowered. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while developing your skills in senior care, memory care, and disability support. We are looking for 2 third shift (10p to 6a) and 1 first shift 6a-2p) positions. Will train the right candidate. No CNA required. We provide on the job training! Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities through personalized engagement and behavior management strategies Operate manual handling techniques safely for resident transfers and heavy lifting tasks to prevent injury Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control procedures Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and dementia support techniques Certification in CPR and First Aid is required (will train); ongoing training is supported Familiarity with safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate a standard passenger car as needed for transportation purposes Commitment to respecting residents' rights while providing compassionate, person-centered care Join us as a Resident Care Specialist (Direct Care Worker) to help create a nurturing environment where residents thrive. Pay:
