After on the job training is complete, substantial raises are given based on merit . Please do not apply unless available evenings, holidays, and weekends! An hourly bonus is offered for Saturday and Sunday- work 1 weekend day, add $1.00 per hour for that day. Work both weekend days, add $2.00 per hour for both days! General daily duties include; keeping dog enclosures and cat condos clean/ sanitized, exercising and playing with pets, feeding/watering and administering medications as indicated, disposing of animal waste, hair, etc, general health monitoring and reporting the animal's condition to the facility manager, filling out "report cards", and general upkeep of the facility. Kennel caregivers must be available on weekends and holidays to tend to boarding animals. We are looking to add someone with evening availability- open to balance, however evening shift offers more opportunity for heavier and more consistent hours. Kennel caregivers must have sufficient physical strength and mobility to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects. Caregivers must also possess the confidence to administer medications and the ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or illness. Kennel caregivers may also perform some routine janitorial tasks, such as housekeeping duties, restocking inventory, and some minor yard maintenance. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Be available on weekends and holidays to tend to boarding animals
- Clean and disinfect kennel enclosures and cat condos, as well as launder pet bedding
- Prepare meals and feed/water dogs and cats
- Administer medications as indicated by owners and the veterinarian
- Bring pets to and from the kennel during check-in and check-out procedures
- Clean up after pets inside and outside of the facility
- Walk, exercise, and play with dogs as needed
- Keep exercise areas clean and help maintain facility grounds
- Bathe and brush dogs as needed
- Maintain the facility as a whole by performing tasks including, but not limited to; sweeping/mopping floors, vacuuming, wiping counters, washing dishes, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, and checking equipment and supplies Other Potential Duties and Responsibilities

- Check pets in and out
- Collect payment from customers
- Respond to emails, both reservations and general inquiries

- Regularly stand for extended periods
- Frequently walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Maintain confidence around pets and clients
- Possess basic computer knowledge and skills
