CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS
GSRP Caregivers must meet the GSRP qualifications upon hire. A Caregiver will be considered credentialed for the position with minimally a high school diploma.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports a developmentally appropriate program using the Creative Curriculum in an all inclusive classroom setting. Utilizes Early Childhood Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. Communicates daily with classroom staff. Supports parents and children enrolled in the program. Supports a safe, nurturing, child-oriented environment and meets Environmental Health guidelines regarding cleanliness. Works as a teaching team ensuring the site meets state licensing regulations, Great Start to Quality standards and GSRP guidelines. Observes and assesses children's growth using formal and informal instruments and helps maintain portfolios. Attends 2 home visits each year/2 conferences. Works well with the classroom teaching team. Communicates and works closely with GSRP classroom consultants.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk over 60% of the work day in order to supervise children throughout daily activities, walk throughout the school, participate in Gym and Playground activities. Must have the physical stamina to care for energetic young children. Required to lift (7 -50 pounds), bend, sit on the floor, run and engage in other physical activities. Assist with toileting needs and toilet training plans Job qualifications: Comprehensive background check, health and safety training, signed child abuse form. CPR and First Aid Training (provided through the program) Must be able to adequately carry out all above mentioned job responsibilities. Be punctual and in attendance daily. Complete all mandatory professional development.
Working Conditions:
Hours for staff 8:00am-4:30pm Children in session 7 hours 10 minutes/day
Monday-Thursday Monday-Friday Salary:
$13.73- $15.92 hourly/ quarterly merit pay, paid holidays, paid vacation days, benefits package
